Optical Management Jobs

The optical manager presides over an eye care center or retail establishment. More often than not, these professionals begin their careers as opticians and earn promotions to management, where their job description includes overseeing the office/store’s day-to-day business operations and supervising staff members.

The median salary for optical management personnel is $43,452 according to Payscale. The Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates job growth for dispensing opticians to be at least 15% through 2026, which will generate a similar increase in management opportunities.
