Description

The Fleet Parts Runner/Porter performs a variety of duties related to the ordering, pick-up, inspection, processing, delivering, and/or storing of parts and equipment in the fleet warehouse; operates a city vehicle in the pick-up and delivery of parts and equipment; performs maintenance warehouse inventory and provides customer service to fellow employees, visitors, customers, vendors and citizens of the City of College Station.

Principal Duties

• Assist Fleet personnel in daily warehouse/shop procedures to include, but not limited to, assisting with clerical and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with inventory control, parts and supplies deliveries, and organizing and cleaning the warehouse and shop.
• Assist with the preparation of fleet assets for auction and new fleet replacement assets.
• Assist with transporting employees, vehicles and equipment to other city locations and vendors.
• Prepare mail and parcels for City's Mail Room, US Post Office, UPS and FedEX.
• Perform general cleaning of shop areas, shop equipment, facility parking lot(s), fuel islands, oil storage room(s), and related office areas of both Fleet Shop locations and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

High School or GED Equivalent. Possess Class "C" Driver's License and a driving record in good standing. Ability to lift and carry objects of various sizes and dimensions weighing, but not limited to, a minimum of 75 pounds.

Preferred:

State of Texas Class "B" CDL
