The RoleAs a Licensed Optician, you are both a trusted optical expert and a key contributor to the success of the business. You will deliver exceptional patient and customer experiences while serving as the store's optical authority—supporting the team with technical expertise, troubleshooting complex orders, and helping elevate overall optical knowledge.
This role combines patient care, styling, sales, and leadership. The ideal candidate is passionate about eyewear, thrives in a performance-driven environment, and enjoys coaching others while building lasting relationships with customers.
What You'll Do Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience- Guide customers through the eyewear selection process by combining fashion expertise with optical knowledge
- Recommend frames, lenses, and lens enhancements based on lifestyle and vision needs
- Create meaningful relationships that drive customer loyalty and repeat business
- Partner with Optometrists and retail team members to ensure a seamless patient journey
- Troubleshoot complex optical issues and support the team with technical questions
- Ensure prescriptions, measurements, and orders are completed accurately
- Partner closely with the SEE Lab to resolve issues and maintain exceptional quality standards
- Stay current on lens technologies, optical best practices, and industry trends
- Communicate optical updates and education to store teams
- Meet and exceed individual sales and KPI goals
- Support team selling and contribute to overall store performance
- Identify opportunities to build customer relationships and drive traffic to the business
- Utilize downtime productively to support store operations and customer engagement
- Partner with Store Leadership to develop the optical knowledge of the team
- Coach and support peers through training, mentorship, and collaboration
- Model SEE's selling standards and customer experience expectations

Qualifications- Current Licensed Dispensing Optician License in the state of operation
- Optical experience required
- Previous luxury retail, fashion, or optical experience preferred
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a performance-based sales environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform the essential functions of a retail environment
