Optician / Office Manager (Immediate Hire)

Eyes Rite Optical is a single-doctor practice in Bellingham, WA. We need a self-motivated professional to run our front office and optical boutique.

Pay: $22.00 $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time (28 40 hours per week)
Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday (No Weekends!)

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with frame selection and lens education.
Take precise measurements and fit/adjust eyewear.
Use optical tools (pupilometers, lensometers, frame warmers).
Submit accurate lab work orders and manage inventory.
Verify vision and medical insurance (VSP, Medicaid, KP, PBC).
File insurance claims and process POS payments.
Schedule appointments and manage patient phone calls.
Use practice software for billing and ordering.

Qualifications Required

High school diploma with strong math and computer skills.
Deep knowledge of optical lenses, frames, and insurance.
Exceptional customer service with no high-pressure sales.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications Preferred:

15 years of optometric office experience.
ABO-NCLE Certification or active WA state optical license.
