- MondayFriday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
- Two Saturdays per month required
- No evening hours
As a Licensed Optician, you will play a vital role in helping patients select, fit, and maintain eyewear that meets their visual needs and lifestyle.
Responsibilities Include:- Assist patients with frame selection and lens recommendations
- Design, fit, dispense, and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Perform eyewear adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, contact lenses, warranties, and care instructions
- Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled and orders are completed correctly
- Process optical sales and balance daily transactions
- Maintain optical inventory and assist with inventory counts
- Obtain prior authorizations when necessary
- Open and close the optical department as scheduled
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and staff to provide an exceptional patient experience
- Support practice goals through professionalism, flexibility, and initiative
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A.B.O. Certification required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
