In our time of Company growth, we seek an Optical Technician/Ophthalmic Assistant.

Work Location: Bradenton, FL

As part of this role, you will:

• Provide quality Comprehensive Eye Care
• Triage patients and give a brief description of the presenting problem, meeting all documentation requirements
• Prepare patient charts for visit with Provider
• Maintain exam rooms
• Perform preliminary tests to assist the doctor with the eye exam and record on the correct exam
• Assist the doctor with exam procedures when indicated
• Perform additional testing when ordered by the doctor
• Read and interpret spectacle and contact lens prescriptions
• Fit and measure frames on the patient for the proper size
• Track spectacle Rx orders and frame inventory

What you need to bring to this role:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of experience in Optometry. Ophthalmic, or Medical office preferred
• Certification at one of the following levels: COA, COT, COMT, CPO, CPOA, CPO is preferred
• A valid government-issued photo ID, Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency required
