The physicians diagnose and treat retinal-related conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment repair, and other disorders of the retina, vitreous, and macula. All University Retina offices are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and each patient's treatment plan includes the most current and effective therapies or services available. Position Summary: University Retina and Macula Associates is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support our high-volume retina practice and serve as a certified BCVA examiner for our Clinical Trials department. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality, and comprehensive eye care to every patient. Refraction Experience Required Pay Range - $19.00-$24.00/hr. Commensurate with experience Responsibilities: This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. Ophthalmic skills include: Obtaining and documenting patient history Determining BCVA Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR Providing patient services Maintaining equipment and instruments Qualifications: Qualifications: Refraction Experience Required Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
