- Our offices are open from Monday-Friday 7am-8pm. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.
FORMAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for supporting all administrative activities and assistance, including managers and Doctors in our practice. The Specialist is responsible for the coordination of events and works with other departments to support ongoing operations and help ensure the departments operate in a high-quality, professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the Practice, including screening of phone calls, assisting with paperwork, prioritizing and organizing information going to the Practice Administrator.
- Manage an extremely active calendar of appointments; plan, coordinate and ensure the schedule is followed
and respected. - Compose, prepare and file correspondence that is sometimes confidential.
- Compile materials for various meetings and appointments.
- Research, prioritize and follow up on incoming issues and concerns
- Work closely with the team to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
- Successfully complete tasks and projects with a hands-on approach.
- Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously and proactively, follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Favorable result on Background Check
- Basic computer skills
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
