Overview: Our busy, multispecialty ophthalmology practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will be professional, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is critical to ensuring a positive patient experience and supporting the overall efficiency of the practice. Key Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner Schedule appointments and manage the physician calendar efficiently Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays and outstanding balances Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation Assist with new patient intake and consent forms Scan and attach documents Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain cleanliness and order in the reception area Handle patient communications, reminders, and follow-up calls Assist with end-of-day balancing and reporting tasks Assist with administrative tasks as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Medical office training a plus) Previous experience in a medical or ophthalmology office preferred Familiarity with medial insurance and vision insurance a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable, courteous, and committed to patient satisfaction Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) a plus, but not required
