SUMMARY
Work ing directly for the Director, Merchandise Planning , this position is responsible for accurate purchasing of inventory for our offices and lab partner . This role also includes managing timel y returns of inventory to our Distribution Center from offices and the lab once removed from assortment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with master data team on material set-ups in SAP and timing for frame ordering needs.
- Executes collection frame or OTC buys for all OPT/OPH offices
- Run daily MRP replenishment in SAP for all OPT/OPH offices.
- Maintain direct and frequent contact with vendors to expedite shipments and provide updates to MP&A, Merchandising, and Master Data teams when needed
- Identify any SAP challenges with order process and escalate when needed.
- Feed data to Director, Merchandise Planning for DC receiving resource planning along with Collections refresh timing.
- Perform any/all ad hoc analysis as needed to support operations issues/considerations/concerns. Drive timely and effective communication with business partners
- Monitor shared Frame Request Drive in which lab requests frames to fulfill orders they do not have inventory for. Frequent communication with offices and the Lab to coordinate the office supplying the frame to the Lab.
- Knowledge of order types and SAP to facilitate a job flip when necessary.
- Update Lab inventory reconciliation to reflect actual stock levels and challenge when stock is being requested, reports appear to have errors, etc.
- Maintain close communication with lab team on inventory related issues: Backorders, NLAs, track return of frames identified as no longer part of ECPs assortment.
- All ordering and returns for select vendor purchases made on behalf of lab; communicate to Vendor. Track Backorders, NLAs, and work cross-functionally with Accounts Payable department to pass along invoices for timely receiving of POs.
- Daily conversion of UPCs for all VisionWeb reporting- upload to Kiteworks for consumption by Lab.
- Work with closing offices on execution of inventory return.
- Purchasing of all New Office inventory, coordination of setup before go live date.
- Manage all master data elements for OTC materials in SAP . Build new vendors, materials.
- Assist with inventory data analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and make recommendations for stock adjustments .
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization .
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing and executing purchase orders with outside vendors.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in retail math
- Promotes team work and is able to work cross-functionally
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
- Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
- Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability for basic to intermediate problem solving, including mathematics
- Basic to intermediate computer operation
- Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Required: High school or GED
- Minimum Required: 2+ years of related retail and buying experience

- Minimum Required: None
SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
