We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Full-Time Optician to help our patients see and look their best.

About the Role

Location:

• On-site at Advanced Eye Care Services, State College, PA

• Remote work is not available

Schedule:

• Practice hours:

  • Monday: 9am–5pm

  • Tuesday: 9am–6pm

  • Wednesday: 9am–5pm

  • Thursday: 9am–6pm

  • Friday: 9am–5pm

  • Saturday: 9am–2pm

  • Sunday: Closed

• Work five of the six open days; scheduling will be coordinated to benefit all parties

Start Date:

• Position available to start in the next few weeks

What You’ll Do

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses to fit their needs and style

• Interpret and fill prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists

• Measure, fit, and adjust eyewear for optimal comfort and vision

• Educate patients on eyewear care and maintenance

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on glasses

• Maintain accurate records of orders, prescriptions, and inventory

• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every interaction

• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as an optician is preferred, but not required—willing to train the right candidate

• No licensure or certification required in Pennsylvania

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Business casual dress code
