WE ARE HIRING COMMUNITY CARE PROVIDERS - EMT and PARAMEDIC - AT FIRE DISTRICT 3!

Vision - Our District's vision is to reduce and eliminate risk from fire, rescue, and medical events in the communities we serve. The Community Care Provider role supports this vision with their efforts towards building a safer community by reducing the reliance on emergency services.
Mission - Our District's mission is to preserve quality of life and protect property through education, risk reduction, and emergency response services. The Community Care Program accomplishes this mission through the use of EMS only personnel that respond to incidents and requests for service. Our Community Care Providers use an approach designed around education, preventative outreach, and the integration of established community healthcare resources to help our fire district patrons.
OUR PROVIDERS EXPERIENCE A REWARDING POSITION IN PUBLIC SAFETY:
Our Community Care team is ready to address medical needs, offer guidance and education on prevention, and work with our patrons, helping them take an active role in their health.
As a member of our Fire District 3 Response Division, Community Care Providers provide quick and compassionate response in crisis management and on scene medical assistance.
Here's what you can expect as a Community Care Provider:
engaging with our community
offering guidance and education on prevention and available health related resources
promoting and supporting health and wellbeing of our patrons
participating in community events
providing direct patient care to low acuity calls
responding and assisting on scene to 911 calls
Successful candidates who join our team will enjoy a 2-2-3 schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Educational background with an emphasis on prehospital care or related field
One (1) year of experience performing EMS in a pre-hospital setting
Valid OR or National Registry EMT license or reciprocity within 90 days of hire and must maintain license as a condition of employment
Valid ODL or ability to obtain one in 90 days
We offer excellent benefits and compensation. Paid time off is accrued as sick and vacation time .
Community Care Provider EMT:
$3,827 - $4,652 + EMT Incentive pay
Community Care Provider Paramedic:
$4,881 - $5,933
+ Education Incentive for both positions
This is a represented position with the RVPFF Local 1817.
