As a lease doctor...

Generally, we are looking for a partnership from an OD to include 5 days/40 hours of coverage with most Saturdays as part of the coverage.  Our OD practices generally succeed when managed care and walk-ins are accepted along with a competitive exam fee.  The OD sublease revenue comes from exam fees collected by the OD from the patients.

OD expenses are minimal.  The lease provides for the equipment (pretest and lane), the phone lines, chairs, etc… The doctor provides his own patient forms, medications, computer, fax, etc...
