SUMMARY:
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced optical leader to make a significant impact on the growth and operational success of a leading ophthalmology and optometry company in California. This leader must have demonstrated prior success growing an optical business while maximizing partnerships with ophthalmology clinics. Successful strategy implementation will include capitalizing on future integration opportunities between the medical and optical divisions.
In addition to providing leadership to over 30 optical locations within our medical clinics, the Senior Director of Optical will have responsibility for the continued expansion of the three Acuity Optical stand-alone businesses. This goal orientated and high energy leader will play a pivotal role in enhancing the success of the state-of-the-art diagnostic technology used by our telehealth Optometrists and optical team to perform digital eye health screenings and detect eye disease.
Success will mean fostering strong, collaborative relationships between the optical and ophthalmology clinic divisions to integrate services, improve patient outcomes, and create a seamless care experience. Partnering with medical and refractive OD's, this leader will lead change and streamline operations to ensure that OD's can maximize the efficiency of their practice and perform at their highest level.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, retail management, or related field.
8 -10 years’ experience in retail optical and ophthalmology industries.
Experience should include multi-store retail operations and opening de novo locations.

Proven leadership experience within the optical and ophthalmology industry, with a deep understanding of both the medical and optical businesses.
Strong business acumen with a track record of driving financial and operational improvements in a complex healthcare environment.
Experience working closely with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflows, drive practice efficiency, and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
