Full time experienced optician position available in a growing optometry practice.

Our optical department is seeking a certified dispensing optician to join our tream. We have an efficient, friendly and family run office with four optometrist on staff. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable about all different types of contact lenses and glasses and be able to deliver friendly service with attention to detail.  If you enjoy serving patients of all ages and an interest in eye health and eyewear, we want to talk with you.

Duties will include but are not limited to,

• Review doctors prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with the doctor with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues

• Certified Dispensing Optician required
• Experience with both contact lenses and glasses
• Ability to operate lensometers and other equipment
• Excellent customer service and sales skills required

Candidate should be ABO certified or  have a NH Ophthalmic Dispenser license
